Background knowledge
Driven by the pursuit of comfort and health-conscious lifestyles, insoles – as essential foot contact components – have seen growing emphasis on their fit and comfort. Traditional sizing methods for insoles face limitations that fail to meet evolving personalized needs. The emergence of 3D measurement technology has revolutionized this field, ushering in a new era of precise comfort through innovative fitting solutions.

Camera Selection
Today we will introduce the application case of Next Vision Technology's LVM2340 line laser 3D camera in the footwear accessories industry!
The LVM2340 3D intelligent sensor has a full-frame acquisition rate of 1000Hz and a maximum of 20,000Hz through ROI setting. The physical contour points are 1920 points, and the depth map can reach up to 4,096 points under uniform spacing sampling conditions. It is specially designed for harsh production environments in factories and suitable for fast moving object detection scenarios.

surveillance project
· Test the outer contour dimension of the product, and the dimensional tolerance is ±1mm
· Test the thickness and size of the product, and the dimensional tolerance is ±1mm
· Test the height of the product's foot pit, and the dimensional tolerance is +1mm

Footwear cushion material
Testing environment and installation method
· Scanning mode: The camera is fixed, and the test sample moves along the central straight line for scanning and measurement
· Trigger mode: Encoder is used to trigger and output stable AB differential signal
· Communication mode: TCP/IP Ethernet

Effect of mapping

· Overall point cloud map

· Point cloud: measure height

· Brightness map: measure length and width

· Brightness diagram: measuring edge left-1

· Brightness diagram: measuring edge right-2

· Brightness diagram: measure the maximum width of the insole
Measurement data

Test conclusion
· The imaging effect of this scheme is relatively complete, and the length, width and height of the insole can be measured. The test speed can reach 150mm/s.
